Draw Your Weapon!

So in todays NHL, regular season games either end in regulation, overtime, or a shootout. The shootout isn’t a very loved aspect from the coach’s or player’s point of view, but the fans enjoy it(when their team wins). So who fairs well in these situations, the shooter or the blocker? Well, both sides of this draw are pretty difficult to master. Goalies seem to be doing better than the shooters this season, which makes sense(having at the least 2 shots against every shootout, while the shooter only has one chance). But lets talk about what I’m really trying to get at, Claude Giroux is just that damn good! Two attempts, two goals, a perfect percentage so far this season with absolute style and skill. In this post, I shall keep a playlist of every attempt Giroux takes, including the ones he misses(that I can find on youtube, anyway).

Please Hang Up, And Try Again

AndroidAndroid phones have been vastly selling as of late. In fact, it has been predicted that it will outsell the iPhone by 2012. I own a myTouch from T-Mobile, it is actually my first touch screen phones(not a fan). But so far, I can’t really complain. Other than the battery life, and how it can be slow at times. But you can expect that with any touch screen phone. I love Android, the apps, the games, the features. It’s basically the iPhone, but cheaper!

Thu-Fri TV Guide

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The LeagueI’m not a big fan of watching TV, but my Thursday and Friday nights are now rejuvenated by cable television. Lets start with Thursday: FX provides humor on top of humor with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The League. It’s Always Sunny is in it’s 5th season, and it has to be the first consistently good show I’ve ever watched. Always funny and entertaining, you can’t help but fall in love with the whole cast. Following right after, is the newly premiered show, The League. Only two episodes in, I can tell it’s on track to the same consistency Sunny has. So we go from a group of friends in Philadelphia and their daily lives, to a bunch of buddies competing in a fantasy football league(the side plots and stories truly make the show though).

Monk, PsychFriday night, is my favorite good ol’ Monk-Psych combo on USA. I wasn’t a fan of Monk in it’s early days, but it grew on me, even more so when Psych first aired. Mr. Monk is in his final season though, and Psych won’t air new episodes until January. Back to back shows with a former detective with OCD, followed by the hysterical combination of a ‘psychic’ detective and his childhood partner. Ahh, TV is good again!
