You would think because of the title, I would boast about Modern Warfare 2, but I’m not! I’m not getting it until it’s on sale, money is tight. I’m actually referring to the Philadelphia Flyers injuries, we all know Gagne and Briere make the IR list almost their second homes instead of the starting roster. However, there is some trouble brewing at the blue line. I love the new addition of Tolle, but for as big of a brute he is, he is a magnet for injuries(and as it has proven, it is costly). And Parent is out, not a big issue in my opinion. The question is, who steps up? Earlier this season, Bartulis was called up, but didn’t play as he was a healthy scratch. Kevin Marshall should be worth some looking at, and given some consideration. A very powerful D man, with a sweet slap shot. Nothing but positives stream from Marshall.

So in todays NHL, regular season games either end in regulation, overtime, or a shootout. The shootout isn’t a very loved aspect from the coach’s or player’s point of view, but the fans enjoy it(when their team wins). So who fairs well in these situations, the shooter or the blocker? Well, both sides of this draw are pretty difficult to master. Goalies seem to be doing better than the shooters this season, which makes sense(having at the least 2 shots against every shootout, while the shooter only has one chance). But lets talk about what I’m really trying to get at, Claude Giroux is just that damn good! Two attempts, two goals, a perfect percentage so far this season with absolute style and skill. In this post, I shall keep a playlist of every attempt Giroux takes, including the ones he misses(that I can find on youtube, anyway).
